CLIENT: STAY CAFE
Stay Cafe is an Asian franchise, who are expanding their business
internationally, especially in Australia. The cafe is known for its classic cakes
and pastries with a twist, incorporating flavours from all over the world.

BRIEF:
The client wants their new space to be welcoming, accessible and
comfortable. The cafe also wants its customers to stay longer, converse or
read or even do homework or work, so laptop-friendly tables and a hangout
area are important.

OUTCOME:
The design draws inspiration from many styles including Victorian and
Japanese, as shown in the furniture and material selections as well as in
the joinery details. Through the use of natural materials such as wood and
rattan along with the innovative mycelium lamps, we create an inviting and
comfortable atmosphere. The interior is also decorated with paintings by
Vincent van Gogh, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and others, giving the room a
sense of being in a gallery.
